DMA Premieres Library of Echo Awards Case Studies
DMA has announced its new Library of ECHO Awards Case Studies, a Web-based subscription plan allowing viewers to read the marketing strategies, dive deep into media selections and tactics, click around creatives, as well as see award winning results from DMA’s 2008 International ECHO Awards winners.

NCDM 2008 Offers Five Tracks, Six Intensive Sessions, and 40 Concurrent Sessions

In a letter to the Consumer Product Safety Commssion, DMA has provided comments on the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s proposed labeling requirements for toy and game advertisements on the Internet. DMA previously provided comments to the Commission with respect to labeling requirements for toy and game advertisements in catalogs and other printed materials.

NCDM Announces Keynote Speakers For 2008 Conference
The National Center for Database Marketing (NCDM)has announced its keynote speakers for the upcoming NCDM 2008 Conference. Co-produced by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), and DIRECT magazine, NCDM will take place December 8-10 at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Email Experience Council Releases Retail Email Subscription Benchmark Study
The Email Experience Council (eec), DMA's email marketing arm, has announced the release of its third annual “Retail Email Subscription Benchmark Study.” The new study examined the opt-in practices of 120 of the top online retailers tracked via the Retail Email Blog and found that there is a clear trend toward richer subscription processes.

Direct Marketing Educational Foundation Hosts Student Career Forum
The Direct Marketing Educational Foundation (DMEF) recently hosted its Annual Student Career Forum at the Ney Center in New York City, carrying on the annual tradition first initiated by The Lee Epstein Fund. The Forum is sponsored in large part by The Lee Epstein Fund, which was created as a DMEF Endowment Trust to continue the vision of its namesake to support students and their educational needs.

DMA Praises FTC for Improving Accuracy of National Do Not Call Registry by Addressing List Hygiene Issues
Direct Marketing Association (DMA) President and CEO John A. Greco, Jr. has praised the Federal FTC for improving the accuracy of the National Do Not Call Registry by hiring an outside contractor to remove disconnected, reassigned and abandoned phone numbers from the registry.

DMA Offers 'Safe Harbor' Program for Companies that Import European Personal Data to US
Does your company import personal data from Europe to the US? If "yes," then you might want to consider joining the US Department of Commerce's safe harbor framework. In 1998, the European Union passed wide-sweeping privacy legislation called the European Union Data Protection Directive. This Directive places requirements on businesses that wish to collect, process or transfer personal data from an EU Member State. The US Department of Commerce and DMA have Safe Harbor programs in place to help American companies who are impacted by the directive.

Email Experience Council Launches Email Marketing Program for Women's Bean Project
eec, DMA's email marketing arm, announced that it has helped the Women’s Bean Project, a Denver-based nonprofit, successfully design, create, and launch a new email marketing program from scratch. The effort, which began last summer, was part of the eec’s annual E-ality Focus project.
